Wow, what a rain storm!!!!!! Between 5pm & 5:45pm Can't believe how much water has just been dropped between Nottingham & Long Eaton. I had to have the windscreen wipers on full, steam was coming up from the radiator over the windscreen, rain was pouring in both sides at the top of the windows. There must have been 2 inches of standing water on the A52 with 4-5 inch puddles in places too, it wasn't pleasant at all. The last time i got caught in this kind of rainstorm I steamed up as well so I kept the blower on full all the way home too. I was extremely pleased when i pulled into the garage and into the dry. Anyone else caught in it??? Derek

Was on my way home from Oswestry this afternoon in my blue Focus, and I came up behind a chap in a silver focus with an MLOC sticker in the rear window- so I've joined now and am going to stick a sticker in the back of my Focus so people won't think I've lost my marbles anymore. Might also put a sticker on the Elise as well. All the best guys.

One of my better elise days today - live about 8 miles from my office but took the scenic route through the country roads in the sunshine this morning. Some 60 or miles later after a nice tour of the county arrived at the office in a great mood, and nearly went a whole day without being directly unpleasant to anyone. Just goes to prove that owning an elise is good for other people as well as the driver.

Well, on Monday I rang those nice guys at EGG to see how my case was progressing. Here is transcript of pretty much what was said:- Me: Hi, I was just wondering how my case was progressing EGG Bloke: Yeah, it was your fault! Me, Shocked: Er what? What do you mean? EGG Bloke: Well you pulled out on a motorbike! Me, Angry: So how come he hit the back of me if I pulled out on him? Anyway who do you represent? (wondering if EGG had put me through to the Motorcyclists Solicitors by mistake!) EGG Bloke: EGG, who do you think I work for! Me, Getting Pi**ed Off: Well by the way your talking to me you sound like you represent the motorcyclist! …

Lordy pie! After hearing the new Eliseparts exhaust sound file, I had to find out more. For cost reasons, I wanted to do a straight swap and had ummed and ahhed for ages about LOUD exhausts/ crps/ trackdays etc seeing as the Magnex was plenty loud with the induction kicking in with its gorgeousness at higher revs and crp. On an expensive whim, I picked up the new exhaust (on sale or return) from Eliseparts on Friday after work with them aim of going to a fitter in Cambridge who had one installed to listen to. Well, I heard it without crp and it sounded nice, so I did it(not doing a side by side comparison either). Had mine fitted (CRP) and it IS THE DADDY! Its so …

Taking the missus to the Norfolk coast for the weekend. Was thinking of Hunstanton to yarmouth. Any recomend B & B's campsites round that way? Plus will most places let you just turn up and book or will I have to book in advance? Cheers Dave

WOW, what a day that was, never been on the track before, cant believe the limits of an Elise, then the instructers took us out for some laps, my god, the braking and roadholding those guys showed us, very very impressed, couldn't quite grasp the fact that i thought i was going fast till they took us out, then we had a tour of the factory, really good day out, not sure if the other guys from here were there, i spoke to a few people and didnt come across any of you, if you were there sorry i missed you.
