  1. I had an indicator take flight on an 03 111s when it was a month old, the car had various other issues and went back to Lotus to have them all fixed. 10 miles after collecting it the “fixed” unit made another bid for freedom. Lotus fixed the problem by shortening the loom to the indicator😂, which to be fair did solve the problem of it flailing all over the paintwork. The front clips are a real weak point and combined with poor tolerances around the indicator recess they do tend to break at an alarming rate. New units are not cheap(as you now know) there are several fixes out there but the best I’ve found is this one:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2837864, if you get them made in abs they will solve the flying indicator problem. I got some printed by Shapeways https://www.shapeways.com/marketplace/other?q=uk but that was quite some time ago so there may be cheaper options out there.
  2. Picture of mine(6.2), I fitted it last year. The first unit I had failed after a couple of weeks but Joying replaced it without issue. I’m very happy with it.
  3. Sadly it’s one of the drawbacks of our plastic cars and not easy to get rid of. Most body shops will be able to get rid of them but very few know how to solve the problem long term, as has already been suggested use a reputable place that understands Lotus, Option 1 have been a go to on here for many years, Specialised Paintwork in Reading are another that know their stuff when it comes to blisters. The last time I saw any as bad as that were on a S2111s I owned, it was brand new from the factory in 2003 and the paint started falling off it in chunks after 3 months, turned out to be poorly handled in the paint shop at Hethel. Never seen them that bad on an Evora though.
  4. Crit Air is straightforward just apply online and they send the sticker through. We used Bip & Go last year for our Euro trip tolls, https://www.bipandgo.com/en/individual-subscription-toll-payment/pay-as-you-go/ it also does most of the clean air zones if you go through them and bills you at the end of the month, saves a whole load of trouble in regards to tolls, especially in a low Lotus. Some towns in France don’t exactly advertise the fact they have clean air tolls, for example two days in Pau cost €6 🙄. Pyrenees are a revelation in a Lotus and make our roads feel like they’re from the dark ages. Have fun👍
  5. Mine arrived this morning, many thanks to all involved in its production 🙏. Goes without saying that July is my personal favourite but have to say that all the pics are superb!
  6. Have a chat with Jamie at B&C, I’m not saying he will give you a better price but if you’re looking to part ex he will at least give you an honest price. Just for the record I agree with Eric^^^^ re an Elise.
  7. We do meet up occasionally in the Summer, there’s a few of us in and around Shropshire. Any meet up’s tend to get posted in the events section on here but won’t be until Spring/Summer now.
  8. I have a Joying 6.1 head unit in my S3 Elise. I have to say that I was sceptical about it initially but it’s been in the car for a good few months now and so far I’ve been very impressed. It has wireless CarPlay and whatever the Android equivalent is which hooks up seamlessly every time. We have just been on a two week jaunt to France and Spain, I planned our routes on My-routeapp and ran them via TomTom Go and it never missed a beat. It was plug and play to install and the screen can be adjusted up and down for preferred position. I had an initial problem with the touch screen but Joying replaced it without any issues. I paid £289 for it and went with the physical volume button version. Sound quality is excellent compared to the oem head unit too.
  9. I’d suggest just loosening the steering wheel retaining nut initially, the steering wheel can take quite a bit of force to get off and you really don’t want it coming off suddenly and smacking you in the snozzer 👃 🩸 🚑
