I was thinking the same due to the wet weather, and being sensible and thinking of Ad08 or R1-R...mmm nice tread...but then i remembered that i drive a crap old punto to allow me to not be sensible, and the most fun i have is that last 5% on track days....so i went with some 888's. Fitted on Friday at demontweaks in wrexham then a torrential wet wales weekend around llanberis. Found them to be surprisingly great in the wet. Obviously the laws of physics apply to standing water, but most water isnt standing water, so for most times and when i need it most on track, the more track based tyres are great for me personally. Seem much better than my old none lts A048s but that could be a number of factors...age etc. best to try all and make ur own mind up i spose. I had as much fun on some ebay bought vulcanised rubber on my old S1 as with sticky stuff, plus i learned different skills that track day. If i commuted more all year round i might get some R1-R or AD08. I still might. Cheaper than semi slicks too.
