  1. Exactly what I do. Then any fitter can do it, I get black circles to deliver to the fitter. Only Central, Gavin or myself touch my car.
  2. I think that’s a pretty good summary. I was very impressed by the i4 m50 but, as much as I hate to say it, I think the Tesla 3 HP even better (apart from the looks and build quality). In the end I purchased an m3 comp, maybe not better (whatever better means) but more engaging. An i4 m50 could live on the drive, not the Tesla. Meanwhile, I’m getting urges towards a P*%€che.
  3. I take my wheels off and take them to the fitter!
  4. I considered this and they are indeed, excellent, as is all AW work. Get them to do the gear cover tunnel as well.
  5. When I applied it, it was pretty good it did not have the soft rubber texture but was not gritty either. I think black stove paint is even better, Morse brand, it was a long time ago! It’s easy to buy some cans and try on some card. Sticky plastics look interesting, shipping a long way though. I think the stove paint was this. https://www.stovesupermarket.co.uk/products/62902300-morso-aerosol-spray-400ml?variant=47669325652&country=GB&currency=GBP&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22428220225&gbraid=0AAAAADEn9P3XdHcZML3loqj1qZ66pUNy4&gclid=CjwKCAjwqazPBhALEiwAOuXqdG5m5GYMVYVef6QGxbew71Oi56z7Gsr2oQ4CCvbaZ1Mt0mSu2MVvGBoCV2sQAvD_BwE
  6. I used a product like this, I can’t remember the precise one. Black textured paint for wood burning stoves also works well, https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/8034597396
  7. I used Riverside Car Sales in Burton on Trent to skim the discs on my BMW 340. They have either 340 or 370mm discs, no idea which mine had. It was a few years ago but they still offer the service. I expect everyone uses the same machine and will have the same upper size limit.
  8. People often fit them to S1 Elise’s as they “look good”, the standard plastic manifold and 48mm throttle are better, more linear. Check the engine numbers match the v5 to ensure.
  9. If you don’t have to dodge the potholes near Ashbourne the suspension must be good.
  10. Tragedy, I’m away on holiday and then at the F1. I’ll have to join some Sunday runs instead.
  11. Looks like steam to me. My k series produces more steam than Thomas the Tank Engine when cold and is perfectly healthy. Hold a glass over the exhaust and look at the condensate, soot is black, petrol or oil smell and have rainbow patterns. The by-products of combustion of fuel are mainly water and C02 so steam is to be expected.
  12. That’s how it should be! As the coolant expands it pushes into the main tank in the bottle, when it cools and contracts it goes back. As said, the white plug is to let any air our, once done should never need to be done again. One thing to watch, sunlight can make the plastic very brittle and the fall apart.
  13. Merry Xmas Ray.
  14. S2 abs is very good, works well, you can threshold brake with it in situ. Bleeding with the abs can be tricky, I think you need the correct scan tool to get the abs to purge itself.
  15. You can get special mirror glue. Otherwise get a pad from auto glass, clean the surface with alcohol cleaner to remove film, grease, polish.
