Went To See This Lot Today (Top Gear Content)

We went to Top Gear Live today, at the NEC.

I know they're a bit "love 'em or hate 'em", but I really enjoyed it. Judging by the amount of laughing my kids were doing, I'm sure they did too.

If you like the TV show, you'll love the live show too. My eldest said afterwards that he was impressed by how they managed to get all the elements of the TV show in there.

Expensive, but good fun.

Anyone else go?

Terminal Understeer, Followed By A Bit Of An Off...

The weather was quite nice today, so it seemed rude not to take advantage.

Cranking into a tight corner I suddenly experienced some terminal understeer which resulted in me ploughing straight ahead - straight into the undergrowth Posted Image

Fortunately all this happened whilst I was mowing my Dad's lawn on his ride-on lawn mower, so all that happened was some (very) minor damage to his flower beds Posted Image

I know Walshy is more selective on what vehicles he allows on his training days these days - but are Mountfields allowed?

Engine Wouldn't Start...

Went to fire up the engine for the first time for a couple of weeks this afternoon, and it wouldn't start.

Engine turned over fine, but just wouldn't fire.

I took out the spark-plug, and it was very sooted up. So I took off the cylinder-head & gave everything a good decoke, cleaned the plug up and put everything back together.

It's running like a dream now. Very pleased with the results.

Oh, maybe I should say - this was on the Briggs & Stratton engine in my lawn-mower Posted Image

Anyone Work In Planning - Favour Needed (Nlc - Obviously)

Are there any members of the MLOC community that work in Planning that would be willing to do me a favour?

My nephew is doing a Planning degree at Birmingham Uni, and as part of his dissertation he needs to interview some people working in planning (either public or private). It can be done by phone, and shouldn't take more than 30 minutes or so.

Anyone willing to offer their help please?
