  1. Grrr, just booked to go on a lads' do in Benidorm that weekend.

    Merry Christmas

    Happy Christmas all.
  3. Mine arrived. Sonya will get one of the kids to wrap I for me for a Christmas present.
  4. Important thing is to get it sorted, not remove it. As a factory-fitted alarm / immobiliser, your insurance will be invalid without it. Good luck.
  5. First one we've missed, and sounds like it was a great as usual. Well done to all the organisers and volunteers. Congrats on the fund raising. Having been an Ashbourne Run Group Leader in the past and having a LitP polo shirt, I was wearing it yesterday (even though it made me sad !). Keep the photos coming folks.
  6. LOL, that has been a nice feature of the LitP routes - crossing another group, or your own group on the run back. Loads of waving always ensued.
  7. Another shout for Steve Guglielmi. HPE (Dan Webster) will doubtless be as good (I need to get to him soon for engine mapping). Also in Burton is Gav (Unit 4 Vehicle Service. Ex-Lotus dealership workshop mechanic).
  8. Awesome, Dave. As always, everything on your car is spotless - I'd consider eating my evening meal off your wheelarch liners ! Enjoy LitP. We're not going to make it this year due to my recent issues... I wish I had the time to get stuck in to mine like you have. I haven't even tried starting it since coming home from Donny on a flatbed 😞
  9. Speaking from current experience, makes sure your recovery policy includes recovery from TDs. Mine does, fortunately 🤬
  10. Several insurers do TDs. I get 6 a year with REIS (Richard Eggar), including 1 European. Even with agreed value and significant car mods, I'm still on their lowest premium.
  11. Some have stickier tyres, some don't Many people hire a helmet until they're sure they like TDs With Lotus on Track, people are well behaved and rules are enforced. I never go with anyone else Instruction is generally useful, especially first time at a track. If you can, come to Donny tomorrow and see what you think (and curry after).
  12. The place where we went on an MLOC run somewhere NW peaks (?) when Oliver fell out of a tree and nearly knocked himself out landing on a dry stone wall ? We had a BBQ and refreshments, and it's also an animal sanctuary. Might have a pass-out for a sneaky weekend and Sonya & I always said we'd hope to go there.
  13. I see you have both me and SWMBO in the list ! I joined in Sept 2003, and we still have the second S1 that we bought, although it doesn't really get the miles it should. With Covid and kids, I've been averaging well under 2k a year (still more the DrH managed, even when he added his two together 🙂 )
  14. On the S1, the filter is on the pump suction not the grommet. Mixing variants of screenwashes can result in slime that the pump can't pull. Easy enough to spot as it's thick gloopy stuff in the bottom of the bottle. Fortunately, easily washed out. IMO, if you only ever use the same screenwash and tap water, I can't see the need for a filter - the mesh on the S1 pump inlet is coarser than the jet holes anyway, so pretty pointless 🙂
