Proof Of Mloc Membership

Hi all,

It has been a very long time since I have been on the forum.

A young family and work commitments have kept me away from driving my Elise and has resulted in a ridiculous and embarrassingly low number of miles in the past few years.

Ironically, a convenient dry garage that keeps the car out of site does not help.

My wife has been fantastic and not put any pressure on me to sell up but my six year old daughter said last week - "Daddy, why do you not drive your little car? If you don't drive it are you going to sell it?"

Not sure where she got that from ????

Anyway, this year I have told myself I have to use or lose.

Onto my question:

My insurance company has asked for proof of MLOC membership.

I have tried paying the membership fee but I am told I am already a member. (Can't remember when I did that then.)

Can anyone point me in the direction of checking and proving membership?

Any preferred insurance companies?

I have been with CCI but I now understand they are Footman James, and I know nothing about them.

Hope to join in more this year.

Cheers all.

My insurance companies (and I've been through multiple) have always accepted a screen shot of my user name, but perhaps that is because it makes little difference to the quote, or perhaps now they're just tightening up.

Have you considered paid up membership?

I know you can be a forum member without paying, but with paid up membership you would have a membership card, and of course the MLOC calendar!

Had a similar problem with my membership, drop Mark a PM he will sort it. I used cci previously but then the renewals started getting silly, have been with Aviva direct for the last two years, don't need track day insurance atm and if you ring and speak to a real person they will accommodate milage and modifications...not to be confused with the Aviva via comparison site monkey's :-)

You could bring your car to the next Sunday morning breakfast meet at Hassop if you want to start using it more, a few hours sampling Derbyshire's finest roads and breakfast and you could still be home by 11.

Keep an eye out for any thread in the events section with 'breakfast' in the title, always good to see some new faces smile.png

Thanks guys,

I received the invoice Mark and have sent payment. Many thanks for your help.

It will be good being a member again.

Phil - I will look out for the breakfast run.

Jonathan - I will look at Aviva Direct. What is the URL for them so I don't get the wrong one.?

Thanks Kayj - I am now a paid up member.

Looking forward to sunny days and windy roads.
