chumaxa
All right, as you saw I just got a v6, lucky me I have the wheel with the polished face, which to be fair I am not a fan of, they look to small that way. So I like the gold effect on the lf1, but I do no have a lf1, so I am clearly thinking going fully black, which would give a batmobile effect, not against it But I would be interested to see a black exige with full silver wheel, can not find any picture. What do you think, and shall I tr to swap mines for the cup wheel if I go black, or just repaint them ? (in order words, do you think someone somewhere has the cup wheel and would like the polished wheel)
Daveb99
I've done a quick Google and found this, it's Midnight Blue but very close to black. https://hexagonclassics.com/cars/lotus-exige-s-coupe-automatic-2016/ Personally I prefer the polished alloy/black ones but the silver look pretty good also.... chumaxa
hum yes exactly, this is not bad ! But to be fair, silver is great when the inside of the rim is always clean, I do it sometime but not everytime .... blac is very easy to look after .. Or maybe black with this mate effect like the 340r/cup 260 cup wheel ?? Never seen that, curious to know how it would look
chumaxa
Any recommendation for a good company for wheel repaint around leamington spa ??
Eric
Any recommendation for a good company for wheel repaint around leamington spa ?? If you really want to get the wheels refinished (but personally I'd be very happy with the diamond cut faces), get in touch with Matt at Lotus Silverstone. I had my Evora wheels refinished by their preferred specialists and they came out way better than an OEM finish. I can't recommend them highly enough - absolutely superb... chumaxa
How much did you pay ? I have booked but can still cancel ..
Eric
It was £100 per wheel. Ok. this might sound a lot but they really do a proper job, and strip the wheel right back to bare metal before building up the new finish from scratch. IMHO - worth every penny .
