Steve J
After the car misfiring at Blyton in May, I've eventually found a morning to look at the car. Good news is I've found the issue. Bad news is I need a new lambda sensor (black wire melted) and my 200 cell cat is destroyed. Any recommendations for decent lambda for sc K20a and someone to weld a new cat into my pipe? Lesson is cat for MOT only and not on track.
Dr H
I think the best lambdas are the Honda OEM part. They are Denso I think or maybe NGK (called NTK for the lambdas)? Think the NTK one is NTK14699105904 should be able to check on here http://www.lambdasensor.co.uk/ SC cars eat the lambdas due to very high exhaust temps. These are suppused to be a good solution to the problem. Even Scuffers rated them! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Innovate-Heat-Sink-Bung-Extender-HBX-1-PN-3729-/181152694739?hash=item2a2d8ac1d3:g:pxQAAOSwh6xTtn0T I've got one but never got round to fitting it. Steve J
Cheers Leigh. I was expecting the OEM as that was the only reliable choice a few years back but hoped there was ano aftermarket that was as good but cheaper. TBH this has lasted for all the time I had the conversion and only just failed as one of the wires melted. I'll look at your other link when I'm on my PC rather than phone. Dr H
Make sure you get some decent heat shield for the wires. When mine died it was the pre-heater circuit that failed and that seemed to kill it totally.
Steve J
This the one? http://www.lambdasensor.co.uk/main/ntkprice/price.pl?item=OZA562-H7 Looks like it Just Lambda part number 250-24756 Description - Direct Fit Lambda £66.00 inc VAT & UK Carriage
Dr H
Looks like it. Don't have the info on what i used and I now have a wideband fitted so that's a different number. If you search that NTK part number on ebay you can get it cheaper than the just lambda site, http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?&_from=R40&_trksid=p2255925.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XOZA562-H7.TRS0&_nkw=OZA562-H7 Mind you they might not be genuine. I've bought some stuff for the Alfa engine rebuild form this place. They seem to offer 2 year warranty on Lambdas. http://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/lambda-control-10829/honda/civic/civic-vii-hatchback-eu-ep-ev/16287-2-0-type-r http://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/lambda-control-10829/honda/civic/civic-vii-hatchback-eu-ep-ev/16287-2-0-type-r
