MilesH
How is Dan? Come to think of it how are you? Not seen you for years. He's good. He sold up his cars and moved onto Motorbikes, and now spends his time doing roadtrips all over Europe. He has a blog somewhere, I'll see if I can dig it out. His last trip was Ukraine and Poland, and I think this year he's off to Iceland again. I thought I might catch you at the kitcar show but didn't see you. I'm good thanks, I'm currently racing an MR2 whenever I can, and currently looking for a project to keep me entertained in an evening. How's the Stratos build coming along? Are you doing it yourself or getting a specialist involved?
MilesH
A big thanks to Reg for the Carcoon, it couldn't have been offered at a better time! This place must have the best club spirit of any forum I know you won't take any money for it, so instead I'll donate some to MLOC, and once I've finished with the Carcoon I'll make the same offer to anybody else who might need it! Thanks again.
Dr H
MLOC are a very helpful bunch. Glad to here Dan is OK - never had him down as a biker! I'll be building most f the Startos myself if I can. Engine being rebuilt and upgraded by someone wh knows what they are doing thought! And the body gets fitted by the kit supplier. I reckon you should build a Gardner Douglas. T70 - bit expensive though!
MilesH
HAHA me and you have very different budgets when it comes to car builds! Good luck with the Stratos

MilesH
No Problem, apart from Dan told me about his C90 endurance race and now that has got me wanting to have a go! So it won't help if I tell you they had a brilliant race and finished 4th in class and 8th overall (75 entrants) Next one is Anglesey in October, you know you want to......... Reg
8th overall, that's not a bad position to finish in is it! Definitely doing one, although gone are the days when you could buy a C90 for ten quid!
lummo
"C90" - as in Honda C90 ? lol - that's brilliant. I didn't know such racing existed! My first bike was a C50 - when I was about
MilesH
Yep, Honda C90. Chatting to Dan it turns out that the bikes were that slow that on the hairpin and round Gerards at Mallory Park the racing line was actually slower than simply hugging the corner as the extra distance travelled by taking the racing line took longer

Daniel
Reg has just gone to pick one up... Wahoo! Reg, get onto the Plop Enduro group on Facebook. The entries for Anglesey should be opening in a few weeks, it's the most fun I've had in ages. Don't, however, let Austen_S1 be your team mate as he has a tendency to throw the bike down the track a few times and make it look rather second hand by the end of the 8 hours. If you need a team mate I am sure Miles can be persuaded Nice to see you and Elaine the other week.
Martin R
Ive been in a car with Austen. The thought of him on a C90 makes me shudder

Bought a 1980 C90 last week, but it was only on the road for four years, one owner and came with a load of original paperwork, it seems a crime to mess about with it. So I'm picking up another from Devon when we're on holiday in august!Team so far is me, my mate 'Humpty' and my cousin Chris (and Elaine if she has a go at passing her test!). October is a bit optimistic when the back of the garage looks like this and I'm not going to picture the ones in the front.....
Daniel
A video of it here Reg and I even made the cover photo (That's with the bike looking sorry for itself after Austen destroyed it) https://www.facebook.com/Onyerbikeshow/photos/o.137557723064487/1023535687742329/?type=3&theater
