Erratic Idle K Series Engine

Hi folks. Can someone please help? My s2 k series Elise is suffering from erratic idle. I have attached a video. It's driving me mad. I'm sure there is a simple cure. HELP!!

It's probably either the throttle position sensor, or the Idle air control valve. You can start with a tips reset which is described in the following page

I had a problem with mine and ended up replacing both.

Thanks stockhome. I'll give the reset a try today. If not I'll replace the TPS and see what happens.

Try spraying carb cleaner over the intake manifold when idling to see if it's a leak there.

I've just reset the TPS and tickiver is more stable. Should I still replace it?

Mine eats them so i get them off old Rovers at the scrappy. That or a careful buy on ebay? They are not cheap for what they are. I would get another one to try and rule it out. The other cause is the throttle body butterfly not closing correctly all the time.

Nick where are you based, I have a couple of spare TPS's you can pop in n try.
