These look similar, cost similar and are from a respected specialist :-)

On the Mtec site it lists the rear discs as being different to the fronts which is wrong, who knows maybe the front discs could also be wrong ?

Are your current discs worn out?

 

If not IMHO Save the money to spend on better pads and tyres first. (Assuming you've already done braided lines)

 

If you've already done this and the discs are the limiting factor to the point you are actually noticing differential heat build up (I'm certainly not that good) you will want to go the next step disc wise anyway, which in my book is spending a bit more on ally belled's for better heat dissipation  and lower unsprung rotational mass. That way you get a double benefit.

 

If that's still not good enough you are into a big brake kit.

Ooer, I wasn't looking to remortgage the house.

Pads and rotors are up for renewal and I was looking at a reasonable road going upgrade.

The aforementioned and braided hoses are on my shopping list.
