kieranexige
I've stolen this off Seloc.... Can't help but think some of these numbers are ridiculous... Don't forget to pay your "supplement" http://thisisengland.org.uk/must-read-new-ved-road-tax-rules-plan-ahead-for-2017-uk-car-tax-changes/
Eric
Soft target - what are we going to do? Refuse to pay? Erm, doubt it. And why are they still focussed on CO2? Yes, its a "greenhouse gas" but shity cows pump out huge quantities of methane which is a far more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. So where's the Cow Tax? Stik
I'm quite tired so i might be reading that wrong, but is that saying that a new Exige in 2017 will cost over £2k in VED for the first year?!
jonnyfox
Just had our renewals through. Wife's Beetle 1.4T is £180 odd and my Touareg V6 about £270. I don't think that's too bad. My performance cars prior to these were stratospheric! I suppose something had to give considering, personally I don't think it's all bad. Wasn't there talk a while back about tax per mile........ kieranexige
I didn't mind the tax on cc, I was a little sceptical on the emissions buisness but now ab additional payment on the value of the car... That's my main gripe.
jonnyfox
I get that but the change was inevitable (no matter who's in power), I think this is a better alternative.
kieranexige
Yeah I think it's going better in the long term, just worse off upfront. It's not going to affect the old girl in the garage so no problems here.
