Stik
Went to go get it from B&C yesterday Predictably it rained pretty much across the entire country and for the entire day, but at least i can say the soft-top doesn't seem to leak. Went to see some friends in Portsmouth (Conveniently there's a long tunnel on the A3... bwaaaarrp) before coming back up to Lincolnshire, so already managed a couple of hundred miles in it, albeit in torrential downpours and mostly at night. Loving it to bits Really impressed with the new stability control stuff they've put in, behaves so much better in the wet than any other car i have (or had), which has surprised me greatly. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to some open-top Exiging this summer. When's the first outing to the Peaks this year?

Simon Mac
Lovely They are great aren't they, the more you drive it the more you will appreciate the fantastic a job Lotus did on the car. It may share a name badge with the old Exige, but IMHO they missed a trick, especially in Roadster form, it's a completely different car to the old S2. Should have been called the Lotus Epic (after the noise it makes roof off through tunnels ) Waiting to hear when you do the indicator ticking mod
Meister
Good work Stik, Welcome back! I need you on the karting team again! LOL!
DeanB
Stik! Welcome back mate I wondered where you'd been. Car looks great. I'm loving the red. The next run out in the Peaks is on Sunday 21st Feb - there is a thread running, I think it has 'a spot of breakfast' in the title. Get yourself there! Stik
Thanks guys Couple of years ago i decided it was time for a more grown-up car, and i swapped the S2 for a 370z. It was nice for a few weeks, but once the comfort become old-hat i realised i'd made a bit of a mistake. Decided i'd give it a couple of years and see if i could afford a V6. Happy to be back! Dean - aww, i'm at my girlfriend's sister's wedding that weekend, don't think i'll be able to wriggle out of it Hopefully i'll be able to get to the one after that. Used to really enjoy those days out. A symphony of noise! Meister - you'll be pleased to know i am just as rubbish at karting as before! Simon - they are incredible, familiar yet very different at the same time. The silent indicators are a nuisance though, don't know what they were thinking with those. Also, if we're listing things that i don't like about the car then how about this one: even at night i can barely tell if the illuminated buttons are on or not, and in the daylight i haven't a clue! Do you find this too? Scatty - didn't you turn traitor for a bit too? What are you in at the moment?

@ndy
Very nice.... Looks great in Red. The bloody button for the AC and heater are ridiculous, Not use why they didn't use the same as the S2 but the car makes up for it i so many ways. scatty
I did mate. I lasted a year before I saw the error of my ways. I missed Mloc as much as I missed the car. But I suppose you need to try other cars that you like along the way. Back in an exige with an s at the end... Love it... I've not had a ride in a v6 yet, I'm getting spoilt for choice at this rate.. It's good to have you back in the cold..

Simon Mac
Yeah, the complete lack of being able to tell whether things are on or off is a stupid oversight too. (Another one fixed in the 350, apparently) For real "first world problems" I can't tell if the heated seats are on either... apart from wait 5 minutes
Eric
Looks great - perfect colour choice.... ......Ardent Red, silver alloys....... snap!!
Stik
Heh, the heated seats seem to be about as effective as the heater/aircon "First world problems" really does sum it up pretty well, doesn't it? Do you know how the lights are wired up? I wonder if it's two LEDs, or just a single one that's driven at half brightness when off. Might be possible to replace them with ones that change colour instead, i'll have a play when the weather's warm enough to suffer fiddling with stuff outdoors. I'm also starting to realise that there's definitely some air leaks into the interior, it's noticably warmer when going slowly as cool outside air isn't getting forced in so much. Due to my clumping great feet i drive barefoot, too, and i can definitely feel a breeze :| Might be something else to investigate, perhaps with a very bright torch at night to see if i can see where it's coming from. Loving the red Elise, Eric It's funny how everyone wants to have a hardtop for their Elise, but the trend for the Exiges seems to be soft-top now, how things have changed
