Has anyone had or got a problem with this engine idle, it had a tenacity drop down to near zero rpm when on a dethrottle (sometimes stalling)then comes up to 1k then down to .5k slowly up and down till setting at the set 900.i had dan webster had a look some time ago but couldn't rectify it.its also temperamentle to start from cold (having to keep the revs up for a 10 secs from start, if not it cuts out.i don't know if this is a map problem or something to do with the throttle body.bearing in mind this is a totally rebuilt engine only having covered 3k

The idle sounds very much like and IACV issue. I had the same with mine once and they are know for sticking in the Hondas. Easy fix to remove and clean. I'd try that first. My ECU idles perfectly on the map but when the IACV suck it kept stalling when slowing down and stopping at junctions etc. Cleaned it and all was good again.

Even if you clean it and it doesn't solve the issue at least you've eliminated it as a possibility.

Not sure about he cold start though.

I know Dan and Ian have been badgering EFi for quite some time about a firmware update and EFI weren't forthcoming. Looks like they have finally listened to two guys who really do know the K20 inside out!

Hope it sorts it all out.
