It's a Scott Genius 2006, but it's a bit like triggers broom, with pretty much the frame being the only original part left :)  (Hope Hoops, Full XT 2x10 Groupset, TF tuned shocks, etc. etc.) It probably has 10k miles on it.

I've tried a load of other stuff, but I really haven't found anything that's as good a fit for my primarily XC / Trails, but still with such good travel. It's much lighter build than the modern AM bikes which are probably the nearest modern equivalent. (And indeed where the current gen Genius fits). I'm not really a weight weenie, but it's well under 25lb ready to ride.

Admittedly it's a Marmite bike... but I like Marmite, and a bit like an Elise I really don't know what I'd swap it for in terms of modern replacement.

My two, Cube ams comp and the grey and orange one is a cube stereo hybrid these new electric mountain bikes are great if you've never tried one give it a go. I can now climb much steeper hill at twice the speed and I used to go around 15 miles a time but now it's around 25 miles you've go 5 settings from off up to turbo. For those who say it's cheating well its not its just different and the black and white one weighs in at 11kg where as the other is 21kg and I'm never really going to get super fit so being able to let the bike push harder is a great idea, the only down side is cost but I was lucky my wife paid for an anniversary present.

If you get the chance give one ago.

The pics didn't link

Funnily enough I've got a bike in the shed, no stabilisers either, not with my giraffe legs.. It has to be a special occasion for that thing to come out....
