New Owner 111S

Evening all,

 

New to the forum and a new owner as of Friday. Picked up a 111s in titanium silver with a couple of nice extras. Coming from a Westfield it's a real step up in terms of usability and initial impressions are that it strikes a really good compromise between a proper driving experience and has a real sense of occasion - love it!

 

Plans are to give it a good detail, already clayed and waxed and the paints in excellent condition, currently has a pipercross feeding air from the engine bay which I can't imagine being particularly clever. I've heard good things on the forum about the hurricane so will most likely go down this route unless you've got any other suggestions and then upgraded gearbox bush kit everyone's raving about.

Becketts sounds like a good shout, I'm in Bournville so fairly near by.

 

Have been to the last couple of Shelsley meets so will try and get along to the Sept event and let you know if I'm going.

 

Westy was just a bit too compromised, great when you're in the mood but fairly limited. I've got very fond memories of a 996 Boxster and really enjoying the mid engined feel again, the engines really characterful for a 4 and the view over the front arches of the Elise really takes some beating.

 

Let me know when you're likely to be free guys, maybe an evening when the weather looks half decent?

Will do but becketts not open in the evening was thinking a Saturday or Sunday if evening if we can suggest a local pub like the peacock or somewhere else while the weather is good
