Lotus in the Peak
28th - 30th June 2024

How Many "classics"

Winners

Recommended Posts

Not wanting to sound anti modern Lotus cars, which I certainly am not, having been to two LITP and a couple of meets locally and they've been very friendly events, but I was wondering how many active members on here have older Lotus cars. Even with a view to an oldies get together.

So come on all you Esprit, Excel, Éclat, Elite, Élan, etc owners make yourself known.

(Sorry about the accents on the Es, iPad being too clever for its own good!)

Nip up to the Club Lotus meet next Weds at The Wheatsheaf Baslow, there are usually a good sprinkling of oldies there.

Thanks I've got that on my radar as soon as work allows!

don't worry, no-one has yet mentioned a car made before I was born....now that does make me feel old

LOL

Wish I hadn't started this topic. All the "my Dad has..." comments are making me feel really old!!!!

Haha he bought it new in 71. A toss up between that and a 246 Dino that was £300 more...

He still had the elan.... But curses not buying the Dino seeing the current prices.
