I think that reality (otherwise known as Helen) may bite before long. She reminds me that "the Lotus isn't a pot of cash", and "if you sell it, the money goes into the house". I sometimes refer to her as my handbrake, always holding me back!* I suspect you may not have such an obstacle Leigh?!

 

* I remind myself that my military pension isn't exactly luscious, I maybe ought to get back in my box :-)

I suppose it depends on what sticks in your mind for the association. When I think GT40, I think Le Mans and the Gulf scheme, Mk2 Escort - Rothmans, Delta Integrale - Martini, RS500 - Texaco, Stratos - Alitalia. I do like the green one above though!

I love these cars, seen a few during my time with the X1/9 owners club in the North West. They always attracted quite a crowd, but there were some pretty shoddy examples about too as I recall. It has to be in kermit green
