As the saying goes everyday is a school day, and while on a track day at Mallory park today I learnt that spilt oil on track is slippy, especially so when on the entry to the hairpin.

Please tell me you caught it on camera. And please tell me your car survived a full day with no issues.....

Car ran beautifully all day which is a bit of a shock as Tuesday night it threw its toys out the pram.

 

Yeah I'm gotta it on camera from inside and out side of the car.

Car undamaged

Pride well and truly damaged

 

Thank god for decent brakes

phew! that's a relief

An Opel Manta GTE dropped its guts round most of the track with About 15minutes of play left so it didn't get cleaned up even after informing the javelin staff.

A risky game on there part I think.

 

I thought I'd over cooked the brakes/tyres at first until getting into the pits and speaking to the couple of mates I was chasing on track and then saying the corner had oil all over it.

 

Had it been a couple of laps before it could have been a different story as I had been braking a lot later.

Perhaps worth an email to Javelin, sounds damned irresponsible to me. Glad it all ended well...
