The Italian Connection - Elise 20 Years Old

How about celebrating 20 years of the Elise ... maybe an autograph from this lady , if there's enough interest I'm hoping we can organise a UK meet and aim to raise some money for good causes.

 

I'm in touch with her by email, and she has advised she would be very keen to assist in autographing any Elise car, if we can get enough interest to tempt her over to the UK. If not, I think I'll be planning a Euro roadtrip...

Elisa, who is the granddaughter of Romano Artioli was the inspiration for the naming of the car. Pic is at Frankfurt 20 years ago, as the car was launched to the World in 1995. Elisa is based in Italy, and so..

If anyone has a way of contacting Julian Thomson, Richard Rackham, and perhaps any other person who has had a significant input into the Elise during its 20 year life, and that people would maybe wish to have their car autographed by, perhaps it might be possible to organise something really special and combine it with a UK meet in 2016. All ideas welcome folks.

In combination with an MLOC meet maybe .. ?

Ok, after a month not hearing back I've had a very positive reply.

 

She's proposing we plan for her to visit in UK in September 2015.

 

As she's at Uni, ( busy etc ) I'd suggest if enough interest we

push to make this happen.

If we can then look at trying to sort something out for 2016, then that's

a bonus.

it would proberbly be good if she were to attend somewhere central for people to travel from the north or south but I suppose we are in her hands but sounds great
