Tyreleader Website Current Word Of Warning

Guest

Recommended Posts

Thought I would post a current warning on this site.

I have this week tried to order some rear AO48s for the Exige, this website was the cheapest I could find so I gave it a go after a couple of people had used them seamlessly on here.

My account was set up, set up email received at recorded email address, my cash (CC payment) was processed legitimately through the card security process & the order number plus details came up on the order exit screen - all good for £30 cheaper than Hanger 111 with free delivery ta-boot!

BUT; no record of the order existed in my account on the Tryeleader website, no order email was received through to the account linked address.

This company is in Germany & no telephone contact exists on the website, no direct email address, zero contact details apart from the website on-board email system. The messages I sent through regarding this occurrence have not been responded to & the payment was showing as an unprocessed commitment on my card website, so could have been processed with a single click from Tyreleader.

I contacted my card security regarding my discomfort with this position, but they could not block the process, they undertook monitor for movement & contact me to follow up a reclaim of funds process as required.

Today I notice a claim & return of the funds so my money is safe, but thought I would share this. I don't want you guys go through the brief period of raised heart rate that I did!

Ok, in this case, I had a very nice website to share about tyres, Opoeno, I payed 134 pounds each for rear tyres (AD 048), must interest some people on here, these are not LTS, but the LTS is a way too soft I think...  and 48 hours delivery, from NL.

Will have a look at this thanks...

You mention the LTS's I was going to go LTS again, but are the other ones that I think are termed Mediums a little harder than the LTS's. For my road use this would not go a miss?

Cheers,

I can not really tell the difference, but some people told me that the LTS is a softer rubber, so last less ... I had the normal medium on the previous Exige, never had any problem, but did not use on track. Never the felling on road is a bit stiffer, I will see tomorrow when the new ones wil be fitted.

Thanks will have a look for Medium Hards or go for LTSs again...

Yeah looked at the Avons too Eddie, not a lot written about them for the road & I do love the way the AO48s feel...

The other thing is if I went for a change at this stage I would need 4 rather than just the rears, my fronts have loads left on them!

When I looked previously though I do recall that 4 Avons is not a great deal more money than 2 AO48 rears though!!

I ordered from tyre leader a couple weeks back, order went ok for a couple uniroyal rs3's for the daily. Don't think I would order again though as camskill are just as cheap and have a better reputation and quicker delivery.

Good to have you back Scatty!! Jonny - like he needs spurring on!!!

I ordered a pair of bike tyres from Tyreleader a few weeks ago, paid £186 delivered to the door cheapest in uk was £248. I had no problems with delivery and tracked the tyres all the way from Claremont France (Michelin factory) to my house. Given that Tyreleader sell tyre all across Europe and sell thousands of tyres a week, I think it's not surprising that a few sales go a wry.
