Fitting Reversing Sensors?

Hi all has any one fitted reversing sensors if so where? I dont want to damage the bumper, the number plate lights come down quite low so i did think about mounting a piece of tube to the side of the light with silicon then inserting the the sensor inside. My consern is that the cable would have to go up inside the bumper and will it fry in the heat off the exhaust.

Thanks in advance

I know a few people that have used the number plate bracket type sensors http://www.amazon.co.uk/RTG-Rear-Numberplate-Parking-Sensors/dp/B008NA99T2

I also remember someone fitted the magnetic strip type in the bottom edge of the boot in their exige. http://www.parkingdynamics.co.uk/Universal-Sensors/Parking-Dynamics-PD1/Parking-Dynamics-PD1-Parking-Sensor

I have fitted the "Dolphin" brand sensors to a couple of non-Lotus cars - but you do have to drill holes and the sensors are visible.

Have a look at the Parking Dynamics ones suggested by Chris that fit inside the "bumper" and are invisible.  Should be a doddle to fit to a plastic car where the reversing lights are easy to access without dismantling the body work.

Remember to post how you get on - I might have a go myself !

I bought the ones you usually recess into the bumper, modified them a bit to make them smaller then externally mounted on the grills to either side of the plate panel using trim tape. Very discreet, and not dropped off yet ;-)
