Matt Sillery
Hello! Newbie here, was hoping to post an introduction within the next few days but before i could someone has crashed into me! I'm hoping someone would know of a reputable fibreglass repairer in the West Midlands area that could help me, insurers have recommended me a place called 'Solus' in Wednesbury but reading reviews they don't seem too favourable. Cracks and chips in the rear clam Would ideally want to send this to a fibreglass specialist but I have no prior experience with fibreglass cars so not sure where to look. Many thanks! Meister
Hi Matt As Martin has already suggested Option1 get good feedback. There is a surprising number of Lotus owners in Sutton Coldfield and we meet up at the Horse & Jockey fairly frequently, you must join us for a beer or three. That reminds me we are about due one I think........... Welcome to MLOC. Mark
Matt Sillery
Thanks for the welcome guys! Good to know theres a few more of us round here, saw my first Lotus since being an owner today, nice yellow S1. Shame it was just after my bump! Horse & Jockey is just at the end of my road so nice and handy!

MSH
I've used Option1 and been more than happy with the work. Frank really knows his stuff.
chris_h
Don't let the insurers send you to a non specialist. You might find over the next few days the cracks develop and get worse.
darryl
Hi Matt, I hear that your insurer has agreed to have your repairs carried out by Frank at Option 1, which is very good news. Your car will now be repaired by a specialist who knows what he is doing.
Matt Sillery
Yes, the insurers have agreed to let Frank at Option 1 repair it thankfully. Im dropping it off tomorrow (today?) morning. After several really good comments from guys on here and seloc I'm fairly certain I'm having it repaired by the very best . Just waiting to see what the enterprise offer me as a hire car now, i doubt it will be anything as exciting as the Elise!
Matt Sillery
Update on this. Got the car back last tuesday. Absolutely superb job, not even the slightest hint that anything has ever happened. Will thoroughly recommend them to anyone if I'm ever asked. Only problem now is I've just noticed a few paint blisters on the passenger side door Not having much luck with this car so far!
