As a single 20 year old living at home Red Robbo was a star. It improved my golf handicap no end.

I'd love a look at that. I had a thing about them back in the day. Sadly my first car (60 cars ago) was a Metro 1.0 HLE, and the closest I'm likely to get to 6R4 ownership! DeanB
Word on the street is Clint Eastwood is making a new film called MG Montego. The main character is a chain smoking white haired Brummie that looks like he needs a decent dinner or two and owns every tool you could imagine. He spent his working life building cars that were once the pride of the nation but gives his Korean neighbours a hard time because one of them tried to steal his Montego. Eventually he had an epiphany and realised they were good people trying their best to get on in a tough world (although he still makes sure he keeps his dog on a lead at all times). DeanB
I knew a girl near Bakewell whose father had an ex-works 6R4 in Computervision livery. From memory it had competed in the Rally of Portugal I think, driven by Tony Pond. Maybe it's the same car? This was ages ago - maybe 1989? It was absolutely ace though.
