DeanB
I intend to post up some recommendations for places to stay for this year's Lotus in the Peak and would like to hear from those that stayed over last year. Where did you stay? would you recommend it? if so, why? what was good/bad about it? how much was it? and so on... Quite a few of those travelling last year asked for recommendations so I will try and oblige this year. I am hoping we get more from further afield, I think it adds to the special feeling of the event knowing people have made that extra commitment. Thanks Dean
Alex B
We stayed here last year http://www.foldfarmbeeley.co.uk Lovely little BnB. Two nights minimum stay, cracking fry up, nice rooms with lovely views, 2minute walk from the Devonshire in Beeley. Think it was around the 160/180 mark for two nights. Will potentially be staying there again this year.

Oh I am disappointed - I was looking forward to paying £4.95 for a small bowl of peanuts and £14.95 for Fish & Chips! Can I volunteer to reccy a boozer for the Saturday night meet? DeanB
Andrew I hate to say this but we are now, probably, going back to the Dev at Beeley. They have a new manager (the old one, who I thought was rubbish, left suddenly I hear) who is much more helpful. I have spoken with them there this week and they will rope the majority of the car park off for us and do other bits and bobs to improve it over last year. The menu will be better but I am afraid it ain't never gonna be cheap! Provided we get what we pay for though I think that is ok. Maybe you could sell one of your stable of cars if you need to liquidise an asset? the Corvette perhaps? :-)
Alex B
The food at the Devonshire was very good last year, although a little pricey.
theelanman
I'm slightly biased......but find Buxton is good as it has many hotels and bars and is only about a 15 minute drive from Chatsworth.....

theelanman
Depends on your budget I guess......b&b from say £35 per night.....up to the large hotels with suite, health spa, gym etc etc....when I get to my PC I'll post full info.....I'll do a broad sweep
DeanB
Thanks mate. What are the £35 rooms like? they can't be much cop at that price surely? We could do with some recommendations for cheaper places but they still need to be nice. When you have the info can you post it on the new places to stay thread we have running please? You're a gent. Mutley00
Maybe you could sell one of your stable of cars if you need to liquidise an asset? the Corvette perhaps? :-) Great minds....... - the Corvette's gone (and the Esprit) to fund son's house purchase, so I'll have to slum it in an Elise this year ;-)
