dobbo
For those that knew this was coming, apologies for the impersonal post rather than individual contact, but I have a shed load of friends, family, neighbours, etc to contact as well. Sonya had a hip replacement this afternoon and all went according to plan. Well, almost... Apparently, she has very hard bones (I guess that means they used a few more cutting disks in the Dremel than they expected). Also, she elected for an epidural rather than general anaesthetic but started to feel pain towards the end. They couldn't give her any more because what they'd given her "should have numbed a front-row rugby player". They were a little concerned, as there was no alternative but to continue at that point. Anyway, all's well, we've talked a couple of times, and she's chatted with the kids. Physio start tomorrow ! Hopefully home by the weekend. Cheers, Chris
