Eric
Ahem, getting back on subject though, it would appear that there won't be any cuts in manufacturing staff (according to an insider) and Lotus is still looking to increase overall production next year. Sundaydriver
I guess most have seen this by now : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/car-manufacturers/lotus/11115698/Lotus-boss-reveals-future-strategy.html Summary : In Gales, Lotus has the anti-Bahar. Someone whose vast engineering, sales and management experience will anchor any marketing flight of fancy and nail down costs. It bodes well for Lotus and the future of its still formidable cars. As Gales concludes: “We need to stick our feet on the ground and base the future product on what has made us great over the last 60 years. We need to go back to our roots.” Nice : Gales plans to make all three models faster, lighter, stiffer and more ergonomically satisfying. He reckons Lotus can alter the design of the tub, for example, to make the cars easier to get in and out of. And there will be more models based on the current range within the next two years. “They will drive like nothing else,” said Gales. “Every Lotus enthusiast will love these new products.”
