At the Coventry Festival of Motoring last weekend the timetable had "Flyover by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight".

I was so hoping it would include the two Lanc's, but in fact it was a Spitfire & a Hurricane that flew over.

Still looked & sounded great though. The Hurricane was PZ865, the last Hurricane ever built.

The Canadian Lanc didn't make it to Bournemouth.  I was there Fri and Sat.  Weather on Friday was not good, low cloud and very blustery so the BoB flight didn't make it and many displays were curtailed.  The "reds" did their "flat" display.  Much better on Saturday, but there was about a million more people and the "Reds" did the full display.  BoB turned up with lanc and 2 spitfires, Dakota and B17 also the  Vulcan.

Had one laugh though, when I arrived on Thursday, the Marines were enacting an beach landing with lots of gunfire etc.  At the time there were several ships in the bay, an RFA, a Frigate, plus a couple of other RN ships and a small French warship.  A bloke behind me asked his mate what the French were doing there - the reply was "They must have heard the gun fire and come to surrender".

Will post a few pics over the next few days
