Matt C
Original plan was to get the car built and go to Chatsworth in it. Seeing as it has been at the painters for 10 weeks and coming back next week I clearly wasn't able to go with plan A. Plan B was to come up in the family car instead. Well that has not gone to plan either - fell really ill yesterday morning, went into surgery late last night and had a very poorly looking appendix removed. Surgeon said if he waited for the morning it would have burst! So... I am sat here in hospital with 4 canulers in me. Gutted is an understatement.. What's worse is when my car comes back, it's going to sit in the garage for 4 or so weeks unfinished as I will not be able to work on it. Double gutted!!!!! Whilst it all sounds bad now (and bloomin' hurts like hell with 4 holes into my stomach) it could have been worse... Have a good day tomorrow everyone. Take lots of pictures and post them up!!!! MilesH
You know if you'd just asked, Bis and I would have finished the Honda build for you, you didn't need to go through this! As I said earlier, take it easy mate and shout if you need anything!
Martin R
Matt, get well soon. Martin and Liz.
TimSportsTourer
Take it easy indeed. There's no benefit in pushing too hard. Rupture something and the outcomes are rough. Look after yourself, and I hope you and the car are as good as new as soon as maybe.
scatty
Chin up mate. On a brighter note, with the appendix removed, you've saved a bit of weight....:-) result.....

Matt C
Thanks everyone. Think it's going to be a slow recovery. Stomach is the size of a football from when they pumped it full of air during the operation. Can walk around but feel dizzy doing it. Not liking this.... Elaine
Not good. Get well soon. My big sister's appendix burst in the 70's, which resulted in peritonitis. When she came home from hospital she had lots of visitors and I thought she was getting a bit too much attention..... ....so I stabbed her with a fork! All these years later and she still has 3 fork holes in her huge 70's scar!! We did fight a lot as kids, E.
