E1Geoff
Hi All, I have a potential date for my first trackday, but before getting the 111R on track I am keen to get a baffled sump fitted (and oil press/temp gauges but thats another task!). From reading a few threads and comparing the options I think the gPan3 (normal price £466.80 inc VAT) is the one to go for: http://www.seriouslylotus.com/engine-and-gearbox/toyota-drivetrain/2zz-baffled-alloy-sump-pan-sector111-gpan3 The trackday is on the 9th May, and I'm away for a few weeks in April, so I need to get the order in quite soon. Does anyone know of any group buys going on? Or would anyone be interested in joining one, and be in a position to commit to placing the order within the next week or so? I'm hoping we could get 10-20% off depending on numbers, but I would want to have an idea before approaching seriously lotus. I'm also posting this up over on SELOC to get as many on board as possible if I do end up setting up a group buy. Geoff
Alex B
Geoff, why the rush to buy a baffled sump? I did numerous track days in my 111r running nitron Hoffmann ntr shocks and ad07 tyres. I've never had the oil light come of or any signs of starvation. I'd personally go for suspension as a first mod, it was by far the best thing I did to mine. JonnyFox might be able to point you in the right direction of a decent baffled sump.
jonnyfox
Just go with Dave at Seriously Lotus. He does not make a mega margin on Sector111's Gpan (stuff) so I would be inclined to go with his normal price. It's more convenience than anything else as shipping is as very pricey alternative. He's also a man of his word, a top geezer. All that aside a damn fine piece of kit.
E1Geoff
Hi Jonny, thanks for the advice and actually after having a chat with Dave what you are saying about the small margins is pretty clear. As you say he's a great bloke, he was even kind enough to throw in a filter in lieu of not being able to offer anything on a group buy. Should be arriving tomorrow, not sure whether to put it on the car or the mantle-piece!!
jonnyfox
Great stuff. I find I can save the odd few pounds by shopping around but I rather stick the extra in a reliable trust worthy pocket. Good news....... post a pic, they're good car porn!
