P4N Lotus
Question for any MOT experts, I fitted a rear exhaust which has no siencer/muffler on the evora so after the standard cat, it's then a pipe (no silencer) which joins on to a little square box that feeds out to the twin tail pipes. Will this pass an MOT? seems like a grey area, does anyone have any knowledge or experience ?
dobbo
No specific noise test so not sure that it could fail on that. Possibly a generic question that an exhaust must have a silencer though. Of course, if you can't see it's missing because there are undertrays fitted they probably can't fail it for that either.

Dennis
The tester can fail it is the exhaust is too noisy, it is down to the tests discretion though, no actual testing of the noise level other than the guys ears so find a deaf tester
