An Easy One....for You Chaps Anyway!

Had a new handbrake cable fitted at Christopher Neil recently then realised when I got home and paked on the sloping drive that it won't hold! I could take it back but that is a 60 mile round trip for something I'm sure is a 30second job.....so my question is how do I tighten the cable?
It's a S1Elise.

You will need to take the rear undertrays off. You will then find an adjuster on the passenger side under the front bottom wishbone mount. It adjusts both sides via the pivot in the middle. Depending which way you adjust the 2 nuts, you either lengthen or shorten the throw of the outer cable in relation to the inner.
The proper way is to measure the gap on the arm when its operated. The gap between the cable abutment and the top of the lever should be 76mm. The other way is to adjust it till the rear wheels are solid when applied. Make sure they do not bind when it is then released.

Was kind of hoping it would just be an obscure adjuster hidden in the car as with most other cars!
