I've just had the insurance renewal through for the Exige. I'm 40, 11 years NCB (protected) and REIS would like me to pay £400 to include 4 track days.
I can't take my car on the track in the forthcoming year, due to a new baby, so only one wage, and the exhaust is just waaaay too loud for even Blyton (it's 107dB at 4000rpm!). This morning I tried MoneySupermarket for a quote, and Churchill with 7500mile annual limitation came back with £280. I'll call them, but this seems much more like it.
Do any of you pay much less than that for similar age and car?

I have just moved from Adrian Flux to Chris Knott, SDP&C 12 yrs protected bonus and unlimited miles - £365 for my Elise SC. Dont track as its a daily driver so no track days. REIS wanted £470 inc. track days. I'm in my 40's too.
£280 sounds good so I think I'd take it or use it as a bargaining chip - Flux are usually good to me but thought I'd change to shake em up

I was getting quotes of around £500-700 from the usual companies without track day cover.
Phoned Manning UK and paid £280 with track day cover. Give them a try.

As above manning is worth a go. I'm on their "classic" policy (car needs to be over 10 years old) and it was way cheaper than anywhere else. Still more than your quote, but i am a few years younger ;-)

Manning couldn't get cheaper than my REIS renewal, and Churchill needed proof of the factory fit immobiliser (which sounds like a pita to organise, so forget them!)
Chris Knott is currently the best of the bunch...
