Excellent news Laura! Our Amy is 4 weeks old now, and I'm about to return to work, for which neither Helen or I are ready! Your life will be transformed. If you like sitting watching TV (which we're not fans of) then get in as much as you can now. Bank some sleep. Buy nappies of sizes 1&2. Bank some sleep. Bake food and freeze it. Buy clothes for 0-3 months, loads of people will buy you newborn clothes. Bank some sleep. Try to breast feed. Get some Badedas bath foam, it'll be soothing on your lady parts if you have a natural birth (Helen tells me). Bank some sleep. Be gentle with yourself, minimise anxiety. You can't bank sleep (did I say you could?!?) so ensure you buy bottles, a breast pump, a steriliser and clear a cupboard out to store them, and a shelf in the fridge. Share feeds with your chap. Be gentle with yourselves.....
Thanks Kurt, as much as most of that made me chuckle I know its certainly sound advice and I will take it all on board!

Congrats Laura - my two keep me so busy now I'm never on here. Last time I went out in the Exige (which was a long time ago) I couldn't remember where reverse was on the gear stick. But it is worth it - I'd never be without them and I'll get the time back in cars again someday.

Many congrats to you both!! It is very VERY hard work but oh so rewarding. Ours are 2 and 4 now. The youngest can now speak a few words... "more peese" "no, mine" and about 100 times a day "daddy's ar" (daddy's car) - he is obsessed about my car for some reason!
One thing is for sure, one little smile for 2 seconds is worth 24hrs of screaming and no sleep - trust me, it is when you see that smile!
Wish you all the happiness in the world.
P.S. have a weeks meals in the freezer ready - it will be a god send! Oh, and have plenty of muzzies - about 20-30 is about right.

Life has already changed and the little guy isnt here yet - stocking up on essentials (trying to get the expensive purchases out of the way rather than waiting a few months when it will be the Christmas spend too).
Matt are muzzies muslins? (Not down with the lingo yet lol)

Yes muslins! Now mine are 2 and 4, they still have their favourite muzzies each, and I have about 20 rags for the garage! lol
