The Best Paint Shop
Posted 14 August 2013 - 03:28 PM
Someone pulled out in front of me as I was going around a round about.
Luckily the clam isn't cracked and it should be clear cut their fault.
So who is the best paint shop, preferably in the midlands?
I've got to get back to the insurers, so if anyone knows somewhere please let me know asap.

I'd recommend the repair place I used in Louth, but obviously that's a trek for you and I'm sure someone will be able to recommend someone closer to Leicester.
4 years of S1 Elise ownership.
GGP shocks, PRT, headlamps, refurbed suspension, 2 'C' services, 1 Lakes meet, 10000 miles, one irresponsible driver in a car-park, an insurance claim and a full re-spray... and windows that go UP & DOWN!

They're on your side of Melton Mobray

I've never used them personally though, so can't vouch for their work.
And I guess they're a bit of a trek from Leicester.

You've all given very good recommendations.
I'm more bothered about quality of the work than distance, but the close ones are a bonus.
I have emailed all of the companies mentioned on here and the Lotus Europa FB group with the details.
I have told them that the email has gone to multiple companies.
I will let you know how is goes.
Oh and my insurers (Adrian Flux) even asked if I needed my replacement car to be a Lotus with inbuilt sat-nav, but I couldn't honestly say I needed that!

So just make sure that you get a reassurance that the new paint will stand up to the test of our winter weather. Any moisture that the clam gets exposed to whilst being prepared could suddenly show it's face in the cold weather.

I've contacted virtually everyone.
Good news is the 3rd party have admitted liability.
My insurance company have suggested Gladwins Swavesey. Anyone heard of them?

Oh... and don't have it sprayed without armour fend fitted afterwards. I will never be talked out of having it fitted after a respray ever!!!
