scatty Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Well, some of you know my love for the japanese mark. the new season of Time Attack kicked off at cadwell yesterday. Some cracking machines on display, you dont need a jap car, anything goes, there was even an exige, which sadly had engine trouble, i thought it may do well with 400 odd bhp on tap.... check out the winning lap of the pro series winner in his evo. looks a bit quicker than when i went round.....lol...sorry for non lotus content, but i thought you would appreciate a quick lap around cadwell....

DeanB Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 He made it look easy too, didn't he? He wasn't fighting it, having to correct lots of slides and stuff. And you can't argue with 152 mph at Cadwell. The Exige that was there didn't do a clean run before it's engine popped. It is sponsored by Eliseparts I think, and is supercharged and turbocharged I believe, with 600+ BHP. Theoretically, it would seem!

Martin R Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Is that Scuffers in the pic? I think 600 bhp is in running in mode? The head gasket popped due to an undersized wastegate apparently this weekend. Maybe a K series would be better? Seriously i hope they get it sorted for Croft next month. I think they are aiming for a lot more than 600 bhp. With Scuffers at the wheel the Evo will have some competition if this runs right

That would be totally flat out in my car, unfortunately I don't have the talent or the balls Not that I'm an expert, but I'm surprised how slow he was taking Coppice. I was there on Sunday as well. The pace of the two Evos was immense. The 1:26.5 that he got on that lap is faster than the lap record for any bike around Cadwell and there aren't many cars that have beaten it either!
