John FISH Curtis Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 SWMBO has come round to me getting getting rid and getting a car I want. Have discussed any financial implications and expressed the extra comfort and that fact the back end is different meaning more room. Started the search yesterday and she will be gone hopefully to a new home very soon (the car not SWMBO). Visiting a dealer tomorrow to look at a couple of cars. Its been a fun couple of years but its time to move on Yes..... the Skoda is going and im gettting an estate version !!!!! ;) ;)
scatty Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 You bloody tease!!!! Thank god the purple throbbing beast is going!!!!
chrislane Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I genuinely thought "does an exige really have a bigger boot?" ;-)
richbk Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Lol at john. What you swapping for? My missus runs an Octavia estate, she's had 2 of them. And tbh they are a good car, Loads of room, plenty of go, decent finish and awesome fuel economy. Averaged 59mpg over half term on a 800 mile run through uk ananda France . And that included some " European" style motorway speeds in france
John FISH Curtis Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 Hopefully a Skoda Superb again, just swapping the twin boot hatch for an estate. If not, it might have to be an Insignia Estate. Might be red again to annoy Scatty.
KurtB Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Oooh, we're looking for a Skoda Octavia vRS Estate, glad to hear good things from real users...

Don't touch the insignia horrid cars very uncomfortable and are not very well made, my dad has had several as long term lease cars, all fairly high spec ones as well. He know has a passat which I miles better in every respect.
jimbo07g41 Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 VW's are good but they only problem is that SEAT and Skoda offer better packages for less money. Stronger residuals but higher purchase price. I thought Insignias where meant to be quite good (never even been oin one).
