Some of you may remember that a couple of years ago I had some 340R seats made and trimmed by a French company called Le Mans Sports Cars (LMSC)...

Well the chap behind the company, Emmanuel Beaufils, is a proper Type 49 fanatic and just to prove it he has emailed me a link to his latest creation. Unfortunately it's not for sale just yet but I've already offered to let him swap it with mine when he wants another soft top drool.gif

Yes! That's fantastic! When my car is due a repaint, I'll consider this.

Well my plans of letting him swap mine for his Exige have gone right out the window......it turns out he's already done a soft top conversion for his sad.gif

Seen a few S2 Exiges with soft top conversions but never an S1 before.

He should be taken into a dark room and beaten with a French baguette!!!!! :-)

Here's the photos he sent me. I think it is the same Exige before the Type 49 makeover.

Sacre Bleur! No, sorry, not happy now. Is it an Elise that's been tarted up then, or a genuine Exige that's been cut about??

According to his website Kurt, it's definitely an original LHD Exige that he did the roof conversion on and then sprayed up in Type 49 colours. I'm with you on this one though, an Exige should always have a proper roof, they just don't look quite right without one, but each to their own.

He's done it as a show car to display what his company can do but says it will be for sale in a few months time for anyone interested who regularly drives on the wrong side of the road biggrin.gif

Ha ha!!! Sight of this could bring kurts piles back!!!!! :-)

You are wizened in the code of the Exige Scatty, we know the rules about converting them, and the consequences if we should even contemplate such butchery.... I think a trip to France is in order so we can wash the soft top with petrol and dry it with a match!

My Jeremy Kyles will never return, I'm so rich in fibre and all other stuff I'd previously shun, and I think having to eat that crap is truly painful!
