Guys,
Went to press my hazard switch the other day and the damn thing wouldn't switch off. In the end I managed to get the switch panel lose and "help" the switch mechanism release the switch. I guess because I haven't used it for so long the spring has broken?
Anyway, when I unscrewed the switch panel there wasn't much play in the cables to actually pull it out enough so you could get your fingers behind the switches. The panel only wanted to come out by a couple of centimeters. Is this normal or am I being a wimp and just needed to give it more force? Or do you have to disconnect all the switches in order to get the panel out so you can change the hazard switch?
I've had a look on Elise Parts and the switches seem to be quite pricey @ £23 for the switch. Is this about the going rate or do you know a cheaper option?
Once again, thanks for your help
Julian

It's a pain. Same happened to me on motorway using them to thank someone!
It's a Peugeot part so they might be cheaper than EP.
I assume you've got the 4 screws out of the switch panel. Don't remember it being too hard but it was a very long time ago.

Well, the Elise is fixed but the A8 has gone to Audi heaven.
Old A8 now changed for new A8. More wafting, care of 4.2V8 fun...

Can they be salvaged from a Peugeot scrap yard?
My dip beam switch illuminates only by tamping the switch when engaged.

John - headlight switch or dipped / main beam stalk. Switch is 9again) Peugeot. Stalk is Vauxhall.

Dobbo, yep pretty much the same for me when saying hello to one of my neighbors
Do you know the model number of the Peugeot it came from?
