Eric Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Having owned both a stunning Elise SC and now an awesome Exige S, I can honestly say that either one would be a brilliant proposition. I owned the Elise SC for three years and loved every minute of driving it. There's no doubt that it is a very quick car, mechanically sweet with a beautifully judged amount of linear, supercharged grunt that allows you to exploit every last ounce of lateral grip from the AD07s. The Exige S is very different kettle of fish though and I will have owned this one for two years this March. It's harcore, uncompromising, noisier with no rear visibility at all. But......... drive it and you'll never look back. It is a totally addictive experience; the supercharger noise, the midrange torque, the ridiculous ability to add speed, the lateral grip from the A048s, and immense stopping power, especially if you can get one with the mighty AP Racing big brake kit. I've enjoyed every second of driving it - awesome!!

mneil Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 having owned 2009 R one of the last( you should have bought mine only 14K persian blue and pristine) i would def go for the SC or exige so much more tractable; i had the remap to lower the cam change to 5500 and that helped a lot. i test drove a new SC and so much more grunt without hving to scream and attract attention to yourself.....................................fortunately i found my Evora with only 6k on the clock and never looked back! no more back ache, headache, left leg ache......and i can have a conversation in the car with the engine running whatever you buy ENJOY
