Chris_edeson Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Luckily 2013, has started a lot better for me than 2012 ended.... and i have a new job which i start on monday... also luckily its a LOT more moeny than im used to on my poverty wages that i earn at present. so no doubt i will get ideas in my head about getting a new car.... iv so far had 3 elise's.... all your normal 1.8s 134 bhp.... my dream car would be an exige... but finding the right one is hard as they are rare... so what do people think... supercharged elise or exige... i have seen this one http://www.jct600.co.uk/brand/Lotus/used-cars/car-details/lotus-exige-s-leeds-yj58lhn-18668693 i just dont know what to do!!!! hmmmmm. thoughts??
russelld Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Would you miss taking the roof off ? I know I would. You can have a soft top conversion done to an Exige but I understand it frowned on by the bread van purists !!!! Sorry I'm not much help am I but it is a nice dilemma you have. Congrats on the new job BTW. Just noticed the JTC car has a cup holder !!! You could remove it and sell it to Dean cos his friend could do with one.

Chris_edeson Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 this is the one!! http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/elise-s2/agent-orange/933359
r339xjw Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 thats your colour but try find a "R" you will like the kick at 6250 rpm
TimSportsTourer Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 For what it's worth, the R is stunning to drive. I tried a couple and they were really wonderful, and you'd still be able to have the wind in your hair. Makes sense to me! Congrats on your new job, by the way. Long may success last.

Thanks Tim!! seems to be a lot of votes for the R....
Guest Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 this is the one!! http://classifieds.p...t-orange/933359 Love that SC in orange Chris, IMHO if you're still gonna be using it as your daily driver i'd stick to an Elise!
Guest Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Went to see that JCT600 one Chris in the hunt for mine, looked very good all round condition (though no leather gear consul surround!). I wanted less than 20K on the clock though & they had no margin for the slightest bit of price movement. The car had just had a new radiator & something on the air con replaced robbing the margin, It seemed a challenge to get them to service it within the price! Perhaps the pressure to sell will be building though & increase the chance of a deal...
