daz-man Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Just payed for my insurance.went with Henderson Taylor after some of you guys recommended them.and I'm astounded to have saved nearly£300 on last years premium . What a great club..... Cheers daz ......
stockhome Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I have just had my renewal from CCI £300 not bad really
DeanB Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Mine was about £300 from REIS inc business use. Jolly decent, I thought.
StokieAfro Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I went with Adrian Flux but in hindsight I wish I'd gone with CCI. Their track day cover is a proper good value and there rep came across as a decent bloke. Know where I'll be going next year.
scatty Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 the trackday cover is a great asset for the likes of CCI. its just a shame they only do limited milage. i ended up with Liverpool Victoria who did me for £350, which i thought was superb. My renewal was £580. the difference i saved can pay for track cover from Moris who i use for one off cover....
stockhome Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Just read this over on seloc http://forums.seloc.org/viewthread.php?tid=354693 says that CCI are not including trackday cover for under 40s being 39 that will piss me right off. Will try to call in the morning and check

Will try to call in the morning and check Wow - this could be a problem for me as i booked le mans and im 28! :-( my insurance is with them and runs out in may!
Alex B Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I got mine 2months back with cci and its included on mine I'm only 24 was 23 at the time.
M@r]{ Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I just got a quote and it included trackdays, I'm 38. It could be down to it being on an Exige though as apparently Aviva are considering the Elise as higher risk so are putting restrictions on them
Chris_edeson Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 This could be the difference on whether i can afford to keep the car! Last year cci put my quote up from £490 to £900 so i got quotes with all the other "specialists" they were all way too high! I managed to get cci down to £500 and stayed with them.. Oh god. I will wait till may and see whats what!
daz-man Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 Well I no Henderson Taylor don't insure anyone under 40 on the elise.have to wait till July before I can put the Mrs on.thsts when she hits the big 40.
stockhome Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Just rung CCI Apparently the over 40 thing only applies to standard lotus elises anything else is fine. I am ok as its a S2 135 sport Bit weird as the only difference between mine and a standard s2 is a bit of headwork. but i am not complaining
Chris_edeson Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 so because mine is an elise clubracer, does that class as non standard?! pretty screwed for le mans otherwise.. Just looked at LV as per scattys message and they wont even quote me haha! MORIS looks like £45 for track day insurance which isnt too bad... scatty you must be well old if i cant even get a quote LOL
