noddy Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Enjoy your new car, it might be crap weather but driving a Lotus will make it special :-)
scatty Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 First piece of advice, don't put the wipers on with the door still open!!!!!
Harmy2010 Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Oh my god, this is not a car for the motorway:p but damn is it additive to drive,I think I mapped the drive from Portsmouth on my arse! Scatty I got lucky on the drive home and the rain held off so i have not yet made the mistake of leaving the wipers on when I am getting out the car. On that subject, getting out has been a hot topic amongst my friends and family.i am looking at the bay park in a whole new light considering the undignified dismount that is undertaken when I get out the car:D
Robo Elise Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I always try to look as cool as possible when I pull up at a petrol station in getting out :-) Sometimes works!! Good luck with your new car I'm sure you will love it. I often just sit in mine in the garage and realise how lucky I am ;-)
scatty Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Ha ha good man!!!! I had a drive from Bournemouth to Nottingham when I got mine. It's a nightmare getting out if anyone parks close by. My mates find it hilarious to park next to me, resulting in having to push the old girl forward... At my age I have to warm up with lunges and star jumps before getting in each morning!!!! Pics please...,welcome to the lotus gang!!!!!
Martin R Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 We do need pics. You are lucky you can push the seat back to get out. Try getting out of a fixed racing seat at my age Enjoy the new car.
Harmy2010 Posted November 4, 2012 Author Posted November 4, 2012 Getting out in the garage is an event! but its a small price to pay:) lots of pics as promised. i did not park like this btw, just in case anyone thought i flouted the parking code:D Loving it:) Any known issues i should be aware of or look out for?

Thanks, the colour sold it to me:) which specialist do you take it to? I need a local one. My mechanical knowledge stretches to 'i know something is wrong, but i dont know what, can you have a look?' ;D

Tells a story....que Cool icon (unless on the iPad). I am surprised there is so many owners in the Midlands, i have literally only ever seen one Lotus on the road and that was a White Exige S. i take mine to gav at unit4. he's in burton upon trent. if thats close to you, then gav is most definately the man!!!! hes even bought a new jumper for the winter... i would have thought the brummy boys will recommend someone a bit closer to you.. Burton is not to far, but i live pretty central so would prefer to be able to drop the car off before work and then pick it up after:P the nearest dealer is Leicester, but i am not a fan of dealers much prefer a specialist who i can have a bit of banter with
Harmy2010 Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 Does anyone know if RE050 195/45/16 tyres will fit onto my exige wheels. at the moment they have 195/50 on. so i guess for the winter the 195/45 will be ok, but i just wanted to check:)
IAN G Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Lovely car mate , you ll master the art of getting in and out , strongly recommend gav @ unit 4 , top man
