Robo Elise Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I bought an S2 Elise last Feb from Stratstone in Leicester. It had one previous owner who had ordered it with a few extras including some black LSS wheels which I believe were originally for the Exige. I have being doing some searching on the Internet but just wondered if anyone on here knew a bit more about them. What type of metal are they made from and how was the black finish applied? Also what other finshes were they available in. I do know they are a pain to clean although I do like the look of them. Sorry if I am being a thick not knowing much about them!! Thanks:-)

I will try and post a pic but I'm not sure if I can on an iPad:-) Think they were originally designed for the Exige.

IAN G Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Great taste in wheels Ian G:-) whats the factory black finish like on yours ? on my 2011 wheels the finish is very poor and the back of the rims have very little black paint on them !!!

When I picked the car up from Stratstone in Leics they have got tyre shine not only on the tyres but wheels as well making then look shiny! A couple of washes soon got rid of the shine tho:-)
IAN G Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Its only a painted finish though , was looking for a powder coat finish ? £1600 for wheels then £250 for powder coating makes them a bit expensive for me , can get new pro race 1.2 with new r888 s for £1200
