AL. Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Anyone bought a vicar before and are they worth it? or is there too much uncertinty/hidden past behind it? anyone done it before? In Anglican churches, a vicar is one type of parish priest. Historically, parish priests in the Church of England were divided into vicars, rectors, and perpetual curates. The parish clergy and church was supported by tithes—like a local tax (traditionally, as the etymology of tithe suggests, of ten percent) levied on the personal as well as agricultural output of the parish.

kayj_prod Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Just remember that vicars can be written off for different reasons. You need to try and find out as much as possible to see whether you'll be safe with them or not. Could be just a cosmetic issue or something more serious.
Martin R Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Not if you pay them to marry you Its only the start of the expense.
