Stevie Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Hi According to my nerdy servicing notes my rear tyres have lasted 23,000 miles including 7 track days. Even though most miles will have been on motorways, this seems a lot. Is this possible, or have I bought another pair at some point which I have forgotten to write down...? Steve
Steve J Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 They're road tyres not sticky track tyres, so should last a good while. What you now need is a set of dodgy Chinese remoulds that will last you double that
Stevie Posted February 7, 2010 Author Posted February 7, 2010 Yes. Ah, I like your specificity! Is it A or B? "yes"
Carlylove Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 I don't drive too hard and have not tracked mine and they wear down quicker!

Chorlton Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I drive like such a wuss driving to work I used to get near 40K out of a set of toyo t1-r/s 's
Steve J Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Can we play spot the logical fallacy?1) non sequitur 2) false dichotomy Neither. Low grip, low wear rate. Last ages, but see you into a hedge at the first corner. Possibly
JohnnyM Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 whatever happened to that guy who came on saying he was going to cut his own tread pattern in worn tyres? did he do it? 23k is no way possible for my tyres, after 9.5k miles they are looking like they've only got a few mm left....
Dave C Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 4k from my rears. No track days just plain old fashion good fun on the twisty's.
