Geebo Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 These are some photos after I'd had the VX detailed at the week end at home by Scott from obsessive car detailing (Bolton) http://www.obsessivecardetailing.co.uk/index.php?page=index He uses a very expensive gauge to measure thickness and number of coats of paint before using a polisher or any treatments. The wax he finished off with was £500 and the jar sits in the palm of your hand! I must point out that I'm not involved with this company in any way. I've just been a very satisfied customer a on a few occasions. Must go out and get it dirty.

He charged me by the hour for last week end because I had the roof re proofed and the back of the wheels treated with wheel sealant. He also sorted a couple of stone chips for me. The first time was the most expensive 'Premier detail' around 11 hours at the end of February £300ish. Last week end was a 'maintenance' job to build up the layers (I think) He's booked to come here again at the end of January for another maintenance session. He's quoted around £70 for that.
