STRaNGe BReW Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 So ok its highly unlikely that it will fit in the boot but............... How much gear can you get in the Elise? Any special luggage available to fit the boot area? I,m not up for fitting a luggage rack so thats out of the question. and who does the packing Cheers Andy S
JonS Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 This was the contents of my boot when we got back from the Alps trip!! 15 days worth of clothes, shoes, hiar products and a few souvenirs!!

Fiona Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Just pack in plastic bags and it makes things a lot easier.
JonS Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Seriously, soft bags & rucksacks and careful engineered placement and all of this will go in my S2 boot! We had to fit everything in the boot to be able to take the roof off and store that behind the seats! It's hard to believe, but it's true!
Ladders Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Surprising how much you can get behind just the seats! I've gone away for the weekend and packed all my stuff behind the seats so that the entire boot is left for my girlfriend Why is it that they have to take a hairdryer and straighteners EVERYWHERE! Also quite a bit of room if you stuff it all above the footrest
JonS Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I've gone away for the weekend and packed all my stuff behind the seats To be fair, for a weekend, that can just consist of a spare pair of boxers and a pair of socks Also quite a bit of room if you stuff it all above the footrest Above the footrest? We used the second foot rest area to store spare sandles for the wife (her legs dont reach that far down the footwell)
G Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Or you could just wear all your clothes and take a layer off per day??? To be fair, for a weekend, that can just consist of a spare pair of boxers and a pair of socks Above the footrest? We used the second foot rest area to store spare sandles for the wife (her legs dont reach that far down the footwell)
richbk Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 "I've gone away for the weekend and packed all my stuff behind the seats so that the entire boot is left for my girlfriend " dave i think making your better half travel in the boot is most uncharitable.....but if shes that supple no wonder you smile when not at work only kidding richbk
layzeedude Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 How do the boot sizes on the S1 and S2 compare? Would I get that lot JonS pictured in my S1?
kimbo Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Apparently you don't need to fit a hairdryer/straighteners in if you drive an S1
JonS Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 I think the opening is smaller on an S1, and you do have the boot lock in the way IIRC? But generally would have thought you'd get most of it in.
Smiley Chenit Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 ALSO YOU'VE GOT EXTRA SPACE IN A S1 IN THE FRONT IF YOU PLACE ITEMS BEHIND THE LINING... SURE I'VE HEARD SOMEBODY MENTION THAT BEFORE?!
