Thinking of installing an ITG anybody got any advice?. What sort and where from?. Spoke to NW and they quoted £390 inc vat, supply only and I'm far to tight for that. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Steve

This may be a stupid question, but its frustrating me.. I previously ran pzeros at 185/55(?) Front and 205/45(?) rear. Then changed over to T1-R at 195/55 and 225/45(?) front anr rear. Visibly they seemed to "fill" the arches more. So, is the diameter of the two sets differ? And subsequently, do the new tyres change the ride height? (Lets pretend they had the same tread depth when changed) I am asking because I *still* havent decided which ride height to go to on s2 suspension and am not sure if the tyres would make a difference to the mixed opinions of grounding people have had at certain heights.

See what you think. Interesting design though. No particular design cues at all. http://www.yes-roadster.net/

Ok folks, here's the situation. It's Sunday (which is bad enough because it's too close to Monday!! I get up early to do the decorating so I can get finished for 11.30 to wire up my driving lights. The owner before me retro fitted driving lights but didn't wire them up...so I thought I could sort it!!! I phoned Sinclaires to get some advice and a nice chap said to take the wheel liners out and I should find an unused plug on either side along the loom (as the cars are fitted with the plugs from the factory). So I bl**dy struggle with the wheel liners and guess what...No F*cking Plugs...AAHHHH! (excuse my language). So please, for the love of god and my sanity, is …

Anyone know what size bolts are used to fix the cat in place? I need to (attempt to) re-fit it for the MOT which is due shortly. In theory I should be able to use the bolts that are currently holding the CRP in place but I’m not sure if these are stainless so I wanted to get some to replace them in case there not. From searching the archives I think I need (6x) M10’s but wasn’t sure what length. I know you can get a kit from Eliseparts but I was planning on fitting it this weekend so have left it a bit late for ordering! Thanks

I have a S2 111 Elise and the previous owner had fitted a rubbish K&N air filter which jst sucks up the hot air and blows it into my engine. after much deliberation with Lotus Specialiasts and mechanics i have decided to buy a pipercross air filter over the basic Hurricane as the mechanics advised the Hurricane has similar problems with the K&N as the aluminium cone heats up with the engine and the cold air gets heated up and released. What improvement should i expect with the pipercross? will i be able to hear any noise differences from the K&N. I do have a sport exhausts fitted. Thanks guys

Posted this on Seloc, and was wondering if anyone here might have some suggestions as to where I could get this damage repaired in the Sheffield area... No idea how it happened - I've not driven into anything, and it can't have been there long cos I'd have noticed it. Looks like it's been bumped or kicked. Anyway, the damage has split the wheel arch spat at the bottom put a half inch crack in the fibre glass and there are a load of hairline stress cracks above the wheel arch and some smaller ones about 6 inches to the right of the Elise lettering on the back. Here's where it must have been knocked: And here's the cracks above the wheel arch: …

I recently bought a 99 S1 (about 3 weeks ago) all was great until recently. after driving hard it sometimes misses and kangeroos in all gears after slowing down and then pulling away. The trouble is that it doesn;t happen every time. can be ok for a few days then really bad (not to say embarassing). I guess there are a number of things it could be but I have checked the HT leads and plugs. I did run out of petrol so have also considered that I might have dredged up some crap from the tank which is causing a fuel blockage somewhere. Any other ideas would be greatly recieved. Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys, It's getting to the point were my S1 needs her suspension looking at. Now, I know what I want to fit and it starts with a big letter "N" (can't even say the word, the temptation is too much!) Trouble is, I am currently running LSS and I love the firm. raw ride. I don't want anything I buy to be a downward step or too "plush" So my question is - can I get the S2 set up - but spec it to mach my current LSS stuff? I know I can match the ride height - I'm not bothered about height adjustment - I've never touched mine since I've owned the car. Is it possible to spec spring rates to match LSS. I'm sure I heard that some people fit Exige springs…

Morning everyone . . I have noticed one of my brake discs is heavily pitted and grooved (MMC on a 97 S1).. Question is, although it is clearly fooked, will this fail an MOT ? The brakes are brilliant though (until it rains), so i dont think it is affecting performance - I could be wrong though - Can someone put me out of my misery, is my wallet about to take a hammering ? P.S. The MOT is being done legally (of course), but by a fellow early Elise owner, so he knows the score . . Sorry about the poor Pic's, I can't get this camera to focus .

Trolley Jack

Hi, I need a trolley jack, the one I normally borrow has moved house ! They are cheap as chips, I can get a 125mm entry height one for about £17. I know you only get what you pay for, but for something that I'm going to use once in a blue moon I don't fancy shelling out £99+VAT for the eliseparts "Low Entry" one.. I think theirs is about 80mm at its lowest point.. Question is, although I have a standard ride height S1 - (anything seems to fit under it OK) - I will be on Low S2 ride height ASAP (not sure yet, 110-120 seems popular recommendation on current threads) . . 110mm jack is only £30. . . Has anyone bought, or had any experience i…

Has anyone out there had a Janspeed Roadsport fitted yet to their S1...or even seen and heard one on someone elses car? It only came out in August and is mean't to be a better system than the Supersport...which i have heard from a couple of folks is very raspy/tinny sounding? The new one is mean't to be a deeper sound i think and not so loud? I have actually just bought a 3 year old unused Supersport off someone and since hearing the remarks about it last week i havn't fitted it yet...deciding what to do and all!!! Any comments on either would be great! Cheers.
